The following supporting documents needed to submitted to Latvian migration office (OCMA). Please carefully prepare all the below documents and attach it with the filled application form.
Share Capital Investor
- a full copy of a passport (foreigner certify the validity of the document by himself);
- a definite sample form for a residence permit request;
- a photography;
- a statement on punishability issued by a competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer than 12 months
- a document certifying the necessary subsistence (the required subsistence is 500 euros per month. If family members come with you, the required subsistence is 500 euros per month for an adult and 150 euros per month for a minor.)
- a document confirming the state duty payment;
- Before the submission of the documents your inviter shall approve the invitation letter at the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
If you are accompanied by your minor child or a child under maintenance you shall submit all the above mentioned documents about him/her (except the marriage approving document), as well as the relationship confirming document and a permission of the other parent to reside in the Republic of Latvia notarially approved or signed in the presence of an officer of the administrative body or representation.
! If a foreigner should make payment of EUR 10 000 into the State budget, the bank details will be specified in the decision to issue a temporary residence permit.
Real Estate Investor (Owner)
- a full copy of a passport (foreigner certify the validity of the document by himself);
- application form for residence permit of certain form;
- photo;
- a document certifying the necessary subsistence (the required subsistence is 1500 euros per month. If family members come with you, the required subsistence is 500 euros per month for an adult and 150 euros per month for a minor.)
- Document confirming the payment for the real estate by non-cash settlement;
- Documents confirming that the foreigner has no real estate tax debts if he or she owns the real estate for more than one year;
- An opinion of a certified real estate appraiser regarding the conformity of the real estate market value to the value referred to in the Paragraph 29 of the Article 23 (1) of the Immigration Law if the cadastral value of the real estate fails to comply with the value referred to in the Paragraph 29 (d) of the Article 23 (1) of the Immigration Law;
- A statement on punishability issued by a competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer than 12 months;
- Document confirming the payment of state fee.
If you are accompanied by your spouse and a minor childe or a child in your custody, they must submit additional documents confirming kinship, as well as a consent to stay in the Republic of Latvia issued by the parent that does not accompany the child during the travel. The above mentioned consent must have a notary’s certification or it must be signed in the presence of an official of the Office or representation.
Upon the receipt of the first temporary residence permit, the applicant must pay 5 % of the real estate purchase value into the state budget (the bank details are to be given in the decision on granting the temporary residence permit).
Bank / Credit Institution (Investor)
Please prepare the following documents:
- a full copy of a passport (foreigner certify the validity of the document by himself);
- a definite sample form for a residence permit request;
- a photography;
- a statement on punishability issued by a competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer than 12 month
- a document certifying the necessary subsistence (the required subsistence is 500 euros per month. If family members come with you, the required subsistence is 500 euros per month for an adult and 150 euros per month for a minor.)
- a document confirming the state duty payment;
A document issued by the credit institution of the Republic of Latvia, which confirms that the foreigner has subordinate liabilities toward the credit institution of the Republic of Latvia at least in the amount indicated in Section 23 Paragraph One Clause 30 of the Immigration Law and the transaction term is at least five years. If the financial investment has been made in a foreign currency, the credit institution shall confirm that on the date of entering into the agreement the amount thereof was compliant with the amount indicated in Section 23 Paragraph One Clause 30 of the Immigration Law according to the foreign currency rate used for accounting on the date of entering into the agreement.
If you are accompanied by your minor child or a child under maintenance you shall submit all the above mentioned documents about him/her (except the marriage approving document), as well as the relationship confirming document and a permission of the other parent to reside in the Republic of Latvia notarially approved or signed in the presence of an officer of the administrative body or representation.
!!! Upon the receipt of the first temporary residence permit, the applicant must pay 25 000 euro into the state budget (the bank details are to be given in the decision on granting the temporary residence permit).
Bond Investor
Documents to be submitted if you want to receive a residence permit in the Republic of Latvia as a person who acquires interest-free government bonds determined for special purpose with the nominal value of 250 000 euro:
Submit the following documents:
- a full copy of a passport (foreigner certify the validity of the document by himself);
- an application on a specific form for the request of a residence permit ;
- photo;
- a document certifying the necessary subsistence (the required subsistence is 500 euros per month. If family members come with you, the required subsistence is 500 euros per month for an adult and 150 euros per month for a minor.)
- a statement issued by the competent institution of the state of citizenship or residence regarding the criminal record (for a foreigner older than 14 years of age), if a foreigner has resided therein for more than 12 months;
- a statement on punishability issued by a competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer than 12 months;
- a payment document attesting to the payment of the State fee.
If your spouse or your child, who is a minor or is in your custody, is entering together with you, they are requested to additionally submit documents attesting kinship and a notarially certified permission or a permission signed in the presence of an official of the Office or Mission regarding consent to the travel of the child to the Republic of Latvia of the parent who does not enter together with the child.
!!! Acquisition of interest-free government bonds shall be done after a positive decision has been made on granting a temporary residence permit (further information will be provided in the decision on granting a temporary residence permit).
!!! When receiving a first time temporary residence permit, the recipient shall make a payment in the State budget of EUR 38 000 (particulars will be provided in the decision on granting a temporary residence permit).
